  • Pregnancy Help Please

I really need help, my hips and back are usually in a lot of pain.  I wanted to know if any of you have ever used the belt that support your belly and take a load off your back.  How affective are they?   I want testimonies before I buy one.

    Thanks for any help,

    Amanda

  • Life at Our House Lately

Boy, things have really been crazy here.  I am sorry for not posting much.  Things  have been so hectic.

We have put our house on the market and thought we had some time before people would want to see it, we were wrong.   We built our house 2 1/2 years ago and we are still working on it. Things like baseboard and painting.   It is so cluttered.  Too many papers and stuff.

It is hard for me to do much without being in pain since I am nearly 27 weeks pregnant. Any of you found that when you have numerous pregnancies that you begin to carry lower? This one is my fifth and I am carrying so low, I often have sharp pains in my sides from my muscles stretching.

On top of that we are constantly chasing after my 20 month old.  Still homeschooling and that is going well, thank God.  Noah and Savannah are such wonderful children, they are growing up way too fast!   I will post photos soon.

More than that though, I have been feeling a sense of urgency to get into the Word like never before.  The things going on around us are so profound and can be scary.  My husband and are passionate about politics and I have to tell you, this election is putting a physical stress on my body.   Anyways... wont get into all of that on this post.

Life is changing.  Things that used to be of importance are taking a back seat.   In Luke Jesus talks about how we should not worry about what we should eat or drink or wear, He said that is what the heathen world worries about.  If we seek the kingdom of God first then He will supply the needs we have.  Our problem is that we have let the world tell us what is important.  Having the sexiest body, most beautiful hair, most expensive home, classy car...the list goes on.  But the most important things in life are not the things that can be seen on the outside but on the inside.  I would rather not have the oohs and ahhs of men because of our lifestyle.  No, I would rather have the silent praise from God.

What is important to God?  Is it making sure we are wealthy?  Is it making sure we are living an easy life free of care and concern?   I would like to know what some of you think, what is God interested in?

By the way, I am in no way indorsing a lifestyle of poverty and low self esteem.  I think we honor God and our husbands when we look nice and have gentle spirits, something I am still working on.  I would love to drive an nice new Suburban ( which we almost bought about 2 months ago, thank God we didn't, so in the mean time we are still driving our 10 y.o. Minivan...she has been so faithful :)   I also don't think He wants us broke all the time because that would be a poor testimony of His faithfulness.

Anyways,  I had better get ready.  Got a big day in front of us and the kids are still sleeping..whoohoo!

Would love to hear from you all.
